I just wrote this whole long post on my phone, thought I knew how to save it as a draft, and poof! It's gone. Grrrrrrrrrr.
So here's the long and the short of it: the babies are measuring a week ahead, and a smidge more, both have an estimated weight of 3.5 lbs, which, even accounting for the margin of error, means they are on the big side.
My cervix is sort of behaving. My internal is funnelling a bit more pronounced, but I'm not dialated at all, so that is good. Basically, we'll deliver early, sometime between 30 and 36 weeks. That is not new information. He does think I should have a second set of steroid shots at 30 weeks--we'll see what our doc says next week.
The next 6 to 8 weeks cannot pass quickly enough. This is scary and exhausting. It's also wonderful at times, but it's quite a lot of anxiety management to not get too wound up over every little thing. I do love these boys, but I'm really looking forward to holding the in my arms rather than in my belly!

It's so great to see you, literally. Keep doing what you are doing. All you can really do to manage the stress is take it one day at a time and disallow yourself to have crisis thoughts for that long. I used to literally tell myself to "Stop!" when my thoughts were spiraling out of control and then force myself to think of something, anything, else.

Wonderful news! 28 weeks is outstanding, and you look great :) I am thinking these big boys are going to go for the 36 week mark. I know you are stressed because of all the unknowns, but you and your doc are doing everything to make sure these boys come out happy and healthy!

Sounds like things are going well! Well, except for the losing your post thing. On the big side is great! I have seen studies which say bigger babies do better after birth, so hopefully this means that if the boys come early, they will have minimal time in the NICU.

3.5 pounds is amazing for 28-weekers! What are you feeding those kids ;-)
I can only imagine what you're going through, stress-wise. I hope that the next 8 weeks are blissfully uneventful.

Yay for 28 weeks and big babies! I know that the stress can be overwhelming, and I hope you are finding ways to distract yourself as you wait these last few weeks.

woohoo, 28 weeks is awesome! I love your belly shot, your belly is so round. I agree with some of the PPs, just keep doing what you're doing and soon enough your babies will be in your arms.
